Kevin Francis for Peggy Davies Ceramics, Art Deco Style, Porcelain Figurine

This limited edition porcelain figurine, titled The Ritzy Duet, was produced by Peggy Davies Ceramics in Staffordshire, England, under the Kevin Francis brand (established 1987). The piece was modelled by Andy Moss from an original design by John Michael and represents the third entry in the Ritzy Girl Series. Executed in a contemporary Art Deco style, the work captures the streamlined geometric elegance of the 1920s and 1930s. The hand-painted porcelain depicts a gentleman in a formal black tuxedo and bowtie holding a cigar, positioned behind a seated woman wearing a yellow and white flapper-style dress and headband. The figures are mounted upon a tiered, fan-shaped base finished in cobalt blue and silver lustre. The underside bears the full maker’s marks, including the Kevin Francis crown logo and the hand-painted edition number 315 of 750. Dimensions: 26 cm x 18 cm x 12 cm.
