Two Items Comprising an Amber Glass Porron Decanter and a Wooden Sand Timer

A vintage amber glass porron wine decanter, of Spanish origin, and a wooden sand timer. The decanter is constructed from blown amber glass featuring a bulbous body, a long tapered spout, and an elongated neck. It is partially encased in a protective woven wicker cage and is fitted with a turned wooden stopper featuring a spherical finial. The accompanying sand timer is constructed with a clear glass vessel containing white sand, held within a frame of three turned wooden spindles and circular top and bottom plates. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on either piece.
