An assortment of seven modern metal signs designed in a vintage advertising aesthetic. The collection includes various themes and brands. One sign for Rowntree’s Table Jellies depicts a maid with jellies and a product box labelled Rowntree’s Elect Table Jelly, York. Another features the Bisto Kids catching the aroma of a roast dinner, inscribed Bisto For All Meat Dishes and Ah! Bisto. A Champagne Pommery sign displays an Art Nouveau style illustration of a woman in a flowing dress leaning on a large champagne glass, with text for Pommery & Greno, Reims, France. A Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes sign features the Tony the Tiger mascot and the catchphrase G-R-R-REAT!. Three humorous or satirical signs are included: one for Jagerbombs depicting a woman with a shot glass and satirical caption; a rustic sign featuring a rooster with the text The rooster may crow but the hen delivers the goods; and a wine-themed sign showing a woman on a barrel with the text Squeeze Me Stomp Me Make Me Wine. Each piece is constructed from lithographed metal with pre-drilled corner holes for mounting. Several items incorporate printed weathered or distressed effects to simulate age.
