A pair of hand-carved decorative busts crafted from a dense, dark-grained hardwood. The figures depict a male and a female in a stylised form. The male figure wears a peaked cap decorated with incised cross and star motifs. The female figure is rendered with a tall, linear textured hairstyle. Both carvings show clear evidence of hand-tooling with visible chisel marks across the surfaces, resulting in a faceted appearance characteristic of 20th-century artisanal work for the export trade.
