Description
A tabletop electric reed organ manufactured in Italy by Bontempi specifically for the British market. The instrument features a melodic keyboard spanning nearly two octaves with 22 keys, complemented by 12 chord buttons arranged in two rows of six. The top row consists of six red buttons for minor or seventh chords, while the bottom row contains six white buttons for major chords. The unit is housed in a two-tone cream and brown plastic casing with a brushed metal-effect faceplate. It is equipped with a sliding power switch on the right side and an integrated power cable. The faceplate is printed with the branding bontempi HIT 1 and HIT organ 3712, with numbers 1 through 22 marked above the keys. The side of the housing carries the HIT organ bontempi logo. Two labels are adhered to the underside: a paper technical label identifying the unit as MOD. HIT 1.3712 MB, 240 Volt 50Hz, intended for Great Britain with registration number 342243, and a yellow electrical safety instruction label. The plastic base is further marked with the molded text BREVETTATO MADE IN ITALY.
