Matchbox or Similar, Thunderbird 2 Die-cast Metal Models, Two Pieces, c. 1970s-1990s

A pair of vintage die-cast metal models representing the iconic Thunderbird 2 heavy transport craft from Gerry Anderson’s celebrated “Thunderbirds” television series. The lot comprises two distinct models of varying scales, both finished in the signature forest green livery. The larger primary model features a removable central cargo pod, a hallmark of the craft’s design, along with retractable red support legs and red engine nozzles. It is decorated with white and yellow decals including “THUNDERBIRD 2”, “2”, and “T2”. The secondary model is a smaller-scale representation of the same craft, also constructed from metal with matching colouration and markings. These models are classic examples of mid-to-late 20th-century character toys, reflecting the enduring legacy of International Rescue. Larger model measures approximately 15cm in length.
