Airfix Products Ltd OO Gauge Class 31 Diesel Locomotive in British Rail Blue Livery, 1975

A vintage OO gauge model of a British Rail Class 31 diesel locomotive, manufactured by Airfix Products Ltd. The model is constructed with a blue plastic body shell and a brown plastic chassis, featuring the authentic British Rail double arrow logo and the running number 31 507. The underside of the chassis is embossed with the manufacturer mark AIRFIX PRODUCTS LTD 1975 and MADE IN HONG KONG. This piece represents a significant period in British model railway history when Airfix expanded from plastic kits into ready-to-run locomotives.
