Two mid-20th century gold-toned metal vanity accessories including a Stratton compact

This lot comprises two mid-20th century gold-toned metal vanity accessories. The first item is a circular powder compact manufactured by Stratton, Birmingham. It features scalloped edges and a hinged lid opening to reveal an internal circular mirror. The interior base is decorated with a vertical engine-turned pinstripe design and bears the Stratton logo depicting a compact being opened above the cursive brand name. The second item is a rectangular aide-mémoire or notebook case. The exterior is finished with a vertical engine-turned pinstripe pattern and includes a small, vacant rectangular cartouche on the lower front. A tubular holder on the right side contains a matching gold-toned mechanical pencil which functions as a locking pin for the case.
