Ertl Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends Die-cast Metal Collection, Circa 1980s-1990s

A collection of 26 vintage Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends die-cast metal toys, manufactured by Ertl. This extensive lot includes a wide variety of character engines, road vehicles, and rolling stock from the classic railway series. The engines featured include two distinct versions of Thomas, Percy (No. 6), James with his tender (No. 5), Henry (No. 3), Donald (No. 9), and Duck (GWR). The set is notable for including several narrow-gauge characters such as Duncan, Duke, Peter Sam, Sir Handel, and Culdee. Road-based characters include Bertie the Bus and Trevor the Traction Engine. The rolling stock selection is comprehensive, featuring multiple Annie and Clarabel coaches, a Sodor Mail car, Sodor Fuel tankers, a Tar tanker, a Milk tanker, various passenger coaches, and a brake van. Each model is constructed with a die-cast metal body on a plastic chassis with plastic wheels and the manufacturer’s signature integrated hook-and-loop coupling system. These are non-motorized, free-wheeling scale replicas. No original boxes are present.
