Description
A vintage school bell no ringer, comprising a cast brass body and a dark-stained, turned wooden handle. The handle is embellished with concentric rings and is surmounted by a brass finial. This type of hand-held ringer was a common fixture in mid-20th century schoolhouses and domestic settings for summoning students or household members. The interior retains a metal ‘S’ hook for clapper suspension. No maker’s marks or serial numbers are evident. Height approx. 165mm, Diameter approx. 95mm.
