Description
A vintage industrial oxy-acetylene cutting torch manufactured by the British Oxygen Company (BOC) under the Saffire brand. The tool is constructed from brass and steel, featuring a three-tube shank leading to a 90-degree head with a cutting nozzle attached. The handle is designed with a fluted, textured grip for manual operation. It is equipped with two colour-coded adjustment valves, red for fuel gas and blue for oxygen, and a top-mounted spring-actuated lever for the delivery of cutting oxygen. The cylindrical fittings near the gas inlets are stamped with the maker mark SAFFIRE. The right-hand fitting is further stamped with the characters 15 APPR.
