A Pair of Attributed Pottery Barn Shadow of Tall Family Abstract Cast Metal Sculptures

A pair of cast metal sculptures attributed to Pottery Barn from the Shadow of Tall Family collection. These modernist pieces depict two highly elongated, stylised human figures, consisting of a male figure holding a slender staff and a female figure. The works exhibit extremely attenuated limbs and torsos, reflecting a mid-20th-century modernist aesthetic influenced by West African sculptural traditions. Each figure is finished with a dark, near-black patina and is mounted onto a square, hollow-cast metal base. The figures are secured to their respective bases from below with two flat-head screws. No signatures, foundry marks, or edition numbers are present.
