Description
A large cylindrical stoneware bread crock produced by Moira Pottery, England. The vessel is finished in a light brown glaze both internally and externally. It features a thick rolled rim and two integral lug handles positioned on opposite sides. The front is decorated with a black transfer-printed label reading BREAD in bold serif capital letters, framed by an ornate scrolled border above and below. The base is unglazed and bears a circular black printed maker’s mark featuring a stylised bottle kiln graphic and the text MOIRA, FARMHOUSE STONEWARE, MADE IN ENGLAND. The mark also includes the instructions OVEN and freezer, and MICROWAVE AND DISHWASHER SAFE. The lid is not present.
