A Hardwood Games Box Containing Piatnik Playing Cards and Dice

A rectangular hinged games box constructed from a light-coloured hardwood with a grain consistent with beech. The interior is configured to hold two decks of playing cards and four six-sided dice. The playing cards are factory-sealed in clear plastic wrapping and feature a stylized jester illustration on the reverse; the card faces are printed with the Piatnik brand name in red cursive script. The four white dice feature standard black pips. The box is designed with a stepped base and a plain, unadorned lid, secured by two metal hinges. No maker’s marks or labels are present on the wooden casing. A 1983 British one pound coin is present in the images for scale.
