A Large Decorative Glazed Ceramic Rooster Figurine

A large, stylised decorative ceramic figure of a cockerel or rooster. The piece features a rounded, plump form with a teal-blue glazed neck and upper chest displaying fine crazing. This glaze drips into a dark chocolate brown lower body, which is decorated with a repeating pattern of cream-coloured circular spotted motifs. The head is finished with a bright red comb and wattle and a yellow beak. The style is consistent with late 20th-century or contemporary decorative ceramic art, resembling designs marketed under names such as Tic Emma or Quinn. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the body.
