Shado PM-4402C Computer Cassette Data Recorder.

A vintage Shado model PM-4402C computer cassette data unit, designed for use as a peripheral for early home computers. The device is housed in a matte grey and beige moulded plastic cabinet. The interface consists of a six-button mechanical transport system with functions for Record, Play, Rewind, Fast Forward, Stop/Eject, and Pause. The front panel also features a three-digit mechanical tape counter with a manual reset button and a red LED indicator labelled Save. The unit incorporates an Auto Stop function and is of solid-state construction. A permanent data and power lead is attached, terminating in a white multi-pin connector. The underside features a printed white identification label and embossed safety warnings.
