Description
A mahogany gateleg drop-leaf table in the George III style, dating from the early 20th century. The table top consists of a narrow rectangular central section flanked by two semicircular drop-leaves which, when fully extended, form a circular surface with rounded edges. The table is supported by a base of six square-section tapered legs, two of which are hinged to function as gates to support the drop-leaves. The table is constructed from mahogany with a dark stained finish. No manufacturer marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the piece.
