This lot consists of two items of historical ephemera related to a Mr. N. Redmayne. The first item is a typed award certificate or Brevet from the Royal Federation of the Veterans of King Albert 1st (1909-1934), United Kingdom branch. This organisation operated under the patronage of His Majesty King Baudouin I of Belgium. The document is dated 1st February 1945 and records the award of a Brevet and Bronze Palm to Mr. N. Redmayne. It features a printed crest with the motto FIDELITE TOUJOURS / ALWAYS LOYAL and is signed by J. Maitre-Jean in his capacity as President in U.K. and Commonwealth. A circular ink stamp for the National Vice President is also present, alongside a handwritten reference number 83483. The second item is a British Motor Fuel Ration Book, serial number NH3930626, for a motor car of 1501 – 2200 C.C. (14 – 19 H.P.). This book was issued by Her Majesty’s Government and contains blank fields for the vehicle registration and date of issue.
