A Pair of Vintage Brass Acme Thunderer Whistles

A pair of vintage metal pea whistles, constructed from a brass alloy. Both examples feature the stamped inscription THE ACME THUNDERER in a curved arrangement on the top surface. One whistle additionally displays a side stamping including the word PATENT. These items are characteristic of the designs produced by J Hudson & Co. of Birmingham, England. Each whistle is designed with a curved mouthpiece and houses an internal pea, with a metal split ring attached to the end for suspension.
