A Trio of Lion Pewter British Arts and Crafts Hammered Pewter Tablewares

A trio of British hammered pewter service pieces by Lion Pewter, produced in the Arts and Crafts style. The set comprises a tall lidded pot, an open sugar bowl, and a cream jug. Each item is constructed from pewter and finished with a hand-hammered planished surface. The tall pot has a tapered cylindrical body, a straight faceted spout, and a hinged lid with a thumbpiece. The handle is bound with woven cane for insulation. Both the sugar bowl and the cream jug feature angular handles and matching hammered finishes. Each piece is marked on the underside with a circular stamp containing a central lion’s head emblem and the text LION PEWTER and BRITISH. All items are stamped with the numeral 2, and the pot bears the additional model number 216.
