UK 2019 Sherlock Holmes DateStamp 50 Pence Coin

This United Kingdom 2019 cupro-nickel 50 pence coin commemorates the 160th anniversary of the birth of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The obverse features the fifth definitive coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark, with the Latin legend ELIZABETH II DEI GRA REGINA FID DEF 2019. The reverse, designed by Stephen Raw, depicts a silhouette profile of Sherlock Holmes surrounded by the titles of sixteen literary works, inscribed SHERLOCK HOLMES and 50 PENCE. This is a DateStamp issue, limited to a maximum authorised release of 500 pieces. The coin is housed in a protective slab with serial number B78-0076 and a 1st class postage stamp postmarked TOWER HILL 22 MAY 2019 LONDON, EC3. Included are the original black presentation box, Certificate of Authenticity, and registration document.
