Description
A vintage tabletop rotary-dial telephone, in the style of the GPO 700-series. The instrument features a black moulded plastic casing with a top-mounted rectangular button marked PRESS in white lettering, a feature typically associated with PBX recall or shared service lines. The rotary dial is equipped with a clear plastic finger wheel over a central paper dial card which is hand-annotated with DARWEN 776337 and the digit 3. The handset is connected to the main body via a black coiled cord. The textured base plate includes a circular ventilation grille and is fitted with four circular rubber feet. The exchange name Darwen indicates the item’s provenance from Lancashire, England.
