Description
A pair of Castle Acoustics Limited Clyde two-way bookshelf speakers, manufactured in Skipton, Yorkshire, England. These speakers feature wood veneer cabinets with front-firing ports and distinctive hexagonal woofer mounting flanges. The rear of each cabinet is fitted with a terminal panel containing red and black binding posts and an identification label. According to the manufacturer’s specification, these speakers are designed for amplifiers requiring a 4 to 8 ohm load and have a power handling of 50 Watts. The units are protected by internal fuses. Both speakers are marked with the serial number 021723.
Length of scale shown: 150 mm
Detailed Condition Report: These speakers are in a well-used condition and are missing their front grilles. There is a heavy accumulation of amber-coloured adhesive residue and remnants of black Velcro-style mounting strips around the perimeter of both front baffles. The wooden cabinets exhibit various surface scuffs, scratches, and marks consistent with age and use. While the drivers and tweeters appear physically intact, the internal fuses and overall functional operation have not been tested.
