Description
An oval jasperware tray, attributed to Wedgwood, featuring a deep cobalt blue dip-coloured ground. The piece is decorated with applied white sprigged relief. The central composition depicts three neoclassical figures: a central winged putto standing upon a pedestal, flanked by two female figures in classical drapery, one accompanied by a small deer. The rim is finished with a continuous oak leaf and acorn border. The item is characteristic of 19th or early 20th-century English jasperware. No factory marks are visible as the reverse has not been inspected.
