A Murano style hand-blown glass high-heeled sandal ornament

A decorative glass ornament in the form of a high-heeled sandal or mule. The piece is constructed from clear hand-blown glass featuring heavy internal inclusions of crushed glass frit in shades of maroon, purple, and opaque white, creating a speckled and marbled effect throughout the body and solid heel. The sandal is finished with two decorative straps fashioned from twisted pink latticinio glass canes. The base of the heel features a circular ground-out pontil mark containing faint, illegible markings. This piece is characteristic of mid-to-late 20th-century Italian glass giftware.
