Two pairs of vintage mid-20th-century pinking shears

This lot comprises two pairs of vintage pinking shears of mid-20th-century manufacture, designed for tailoring and dressmaking. The first pair is of British origin, constructed from steel with a chrome or nickel-plated finish. It features zigzag cutting blades and is stamped on the handle shank with BRITISH MADE and the registered design number REGD NO 835261. The second pair is a heavy-duty model featuring steel blades and black-coated handles, likely japanned. This pair is stamped with FOREIGN on the handle shank and the word PINKING on one blade, alongside a small numerical stamp. Both items are typical of industrial sewing equipment from the period.
