Large 20th Century Persian Ghalamzani Style Hand Hammered Copper Wall Charger

A large circular copper wall charger or plaque featuring hand-hammered and chased decoration in the Persian Ghalamzani style. The obverse is finished with a silver-toned wash, likely tin or silver, while the reverse remains in natural copper colour. The decorative scheme consists of concentric bands of traditional Islamic motifs. At the centre is a floral medallion radiating into multiple tiers of lotus-shaped petals. Each petal is detailed with cross-hatching, scrolls, and stylised foliate patterns. The outer border displays a hand-hammered dimpled texture. The reverse shows visible hammer marks from the construction process and has a small metal hanging loop soldered to the surface. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible.
