A large stylized ceramic rooster figurine with variegated crystalline style glaze

A stylized ceramic figurine of a rooster or cockerel, featuring a rounded bulbous body with a tall tapering neck and an upright fanned tail. The piece is finished in a multi-tonal glaze scheme consisting of a clean white upper section that flows into a variegated mottled olive-green crystalline style glaze on the lower body and tail. The comb and wattle are finished in a bright red gloss glaze, with a tan-coloured beak and dark-painted eyes. Indistinct white characters are applied over the glaze on the lower front chest area, though they remain illegible. The base is unmarked.
