Description
This lot comprises a collection of large-format landscape art prints titled Krajinne pohledy Schwarzenbergskych panstvi / Landschaftsansichte der Schwarzenbergsbesitztum. The portfolio was produced as a joint venture between Artypa Holubov (CSFR) and Ernst Schausberger + Co. of Gunskirchen, Austria, with lithography by Firma Krammer of Linz, Austria. The collection contains modern reproductions of early 19th-century gouache paintings depicting various estates and historical scenes associated with the Schwarzenberg family. Included subjects are Schloss Orlik nad Vltavou, Ruine Madchenstein (Zricenina Divci Kamen), Schloss Vimperk (Zamek Vimperk), Der Kirchtag im Lomec (Pout na Lomci), Schloss Postoloprty (Zamek Postoloprty), Schloss Kratochvile (Zamek Kratochvile), Ruine Karluv Hradek (Karluv Hradek u Purkarce), Tsar Alexander I as a Plowman at Hosin (Car Alexandr I. jako orac u Hosina), and Haselburgsruine (Zricenina Haselburgu). The plates are housed in a large red card folder with a stapled binding. Each plate features descriptive text on the reverse in Czech and German, including the original painting dates which range from 1803 to 1834.
