Playme Ref. 977 Die-Cast Metal Miniature Stove Pencil Sharpener

A vintage die-cast metal novelty pencil sharpener by Playme, modelled as a portable single-burner stove or spirit lamp. The piece consists of a square frame supported by four curved legs, enclosing a central circular burner unit with a star-patterned grate. It is finished with an antiqued bronze-effect patina. The underside of the top plate is cast in relief with the mark PLAYME inside an oval cartouche, MADE IN SPAIN, and REF. 977. The functional pencil sharpener mechanism is integrated into the underside of the base.
